Dr. Doug Ferguson became the pastor of his first congregation in 1981. Since then, he has remained in fulltime ministry as a pastor or evangelist. It was in the fall of 2003, that God led him to become Welcome’s pastor.
Pastor Ferguson received his formal training at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, Toccoa Falls College, Luther Rice Seminary, Southern Baptist Seminary Extension, and holds an earned Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Southern Baptist School for Biblical Studies.
Our pastor is driven by his conviction concerning the necessities for biblically sound preaching and teaching, the Lordship of Jesus, a love for people, and the priority of prayer.
